Due to some inadequacies in the October 29th announcement, we would like to provide an update and reiterate our request for the use of the RICOH360 App.
The 360-degree camera “RICOH THETA” has been utilized in various situations since its launch in 2013, including:
To date, Ricoh has provided the “RICOH THETA” smartphone photography application and theta360.com, a dedicated website for sharing 360-degree images, in order to promote the use of the RICOH THETA 360-degree camera.
To enhance the convenience of using 360-degree images for customers, we will integrate the existing “RICOH THETA” smartphone photography application and the theta360.com service into the “RICOH360 App”. This app provides shooting, editing, saving, and sharing functionalities in a single application. Consequently, we will terminate support for the “RICOH THETA” smartphone application and the “theta360.com” service. We kindly ask you to use the RICOH360 App moving forward.

Key Dates and Campaigns
1. End of support for the RICOH THETA Smartphone Application
-Date: December 20th, 2024
-Note: The application will remain available after the end of development support, but there is a possibility of functionality issues on newer operating systems.

2. Termination of theta360.com Service
-Date: January 15th, 2025
-Users can download their data from theta360.com before this date. After service termination, downloading images will no longer be possible.

3. Special Offer for New Users
We are offering a discount coupon for the purchase of the RICOH360 compatible THETA X (https://blog.ricoh360.com/en-news/2024-10-29-2/) for new account registrants. This campaign is available to users in select countries.
We hope that the “RICOH360 App” will enhance the workflow from capturing to data utilization allowing customers to use 360-degree images more conveniently in the future.
