*This issue will be fixed by updating to the released version v3.51.0.
Thank you very much for your continued use of RICOH360 products. We would like to inform you of an issue identified in the firmware released on Tuesday, July 15, 2025.
We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.
■Affected Firmware Version
RICOH THETA Z1 Firmware Version 3.50.2
■Issue Details
When the device is powered on or woken from sleep mode, the automatic exposure control (AE) may not function properly when taking the first photo. As a result, the first photo taken may have inappropriate brightness. This issue only occurs when using the shutter button on the THETA Z1 itself. It does not occur when shooting with the RICOH360 app or using My Settings with HDR, Handheld HDR, or Noise Reduction mode enabled.
■Guidance for Customers Using the Affected Firmware
This issue can be avoided by shooting with the RICOH360 app. Until the corrected firmware is available, we kindly ask customers to use the app for capturing images. Distribution of Firmware Version 3.50.2 has been suspended, and the previous version, 3.40.3, has been re-released.
■About the Corrected Firmware
We are currently working to correct the firmware and will notify you as soon as it is ready for release.
We apologize once again for the inconvenience and thank you for your continued trust in RICOH360 products.
