HDR-DNG

“HDR-DNG” is a plug-in for RICOH THETA X. It automatically processes four RAW images for HDR rendering in THETA X and outputs a rendered image in HDR-DNG format.

Panorama photographers and photography agencies sometimes feel that the 360-degree images they shoot do not have stable and uniform quality, that these images do not fully express light and dark colors, or that bracket shooting and post-production require a lot of time and effort. “HDR-DNG” for THETA X resolves and reduces these issues. It raises the potential of image editing and enables shooting in 11K with high-definition image quality.

Update the firmware to the latest version (version 2.61.0 or later) to install the plug-in. After starting the plug-in, shoot images remotely from a smartphone with Web UI or shoot images using a Bluetooth remote controller or the shutter button on THETA X. After shooting, edit the images using Adobe Photoshop Lightroom Classic and use the dedicated app “RICOH THETA Stitcher” for stitching.
