A Simple Action with Real Impact

At RICOH, innovation goes beyond technology. It extends to how we consider the impact of our products throughout their entire lifecycle. Today, we're launching a camera recovery program for unused devices, with one clear goal: reduce our environmental footprint while making it easy for you to get involved.

A Responsible Program with No Commercial Gain

This program is open to all users of RICOH THETA SC2 cameras or earlier models that are no longer in use. Instead of letting them gather dust in a drawer, we're inviting you to send them back to us — at our expense — so they can be given a second life.

This is a voluntary and non-commercial initiative: RICOH does not profit from these returns. The project is designed to extend the lifespan of our products and reduce electronic waste.

How Does It Work?

The process is simple and quick:

  1. Contact our team to let us know you’d like to take part in the program.
  2. You’ll receive a prepaid return label to send your camera back to us.
  3. Once we receive it, we’ll take care of the rest.
  4. In return, you’ll receive a promo code to use on our professional store.

What Happens to Returned Cameras?

Returned cameras are either refurbished or reused internally by our technical teams. This approach helps us make the most of existing resources and reduce the need to manufacture new equipment. It's a tangible step toward more responsible production.

A Useful, Rewarding, and Responsible Action

By joining the program, you:

  • Help reduce the environmental footprint of our devices
  • Give new value to an unused camera
  • Receive an immediate benefit for your future projects, in the form of a promotional code
