Earlier this month, we partnered with Kuula, a popular virtual tour software, to host an engaging and informative online seminar. The session explored Kuula’s platform, showcased best practices when using it in conjunction with RICOH THETA 360-degree cameras, and was led by Kuula’s co-founder Bartek Drozdz and RICOH THETA’s business development lead, Cole Johnson.
HOWRICOH THETA AND KUULA WORK TOGETHER
When used in tandem, RICOH THETA cameras and the Kuula software can create magnificent 360-degree virtual tours. THETA’s latest release, the RICOH THETA X, is a solution to help professionals easily capture 360-images for site documentation. Designed to shoot immersive still images and videos in a single shot, the product is equipped with many firsts for the brand including a large touch screen, interchangeable battery, and external memory card. The THETA X also boasts real-time stitching capabilities with stabilization, allowing for an even stronger collaboration with Kuula. The RICOH THETA Z1 is also compatible with Kuula.
DIVING INTO KUULA’S CAPABILITIES
With Kuula, users can easily and efficiently build virtual tours through browser access, avoiding the need to download the program to their computer directly. The software also allows links to be embedded within 360 photos, adds audio to tours, and hotspots added with text, images, and videos.
Kuula is ideal for business professionals due to its integration with MLS systems, real estate portals, and social networks. The software also has a new feature that enables users to upload their 360photos to Google Street View, which is demoed within the webinar. Kuula's latest feature expands the way users can share their panoramas by enabling direct publication to Google Street View. The tool, accessible to both Kuula Pro and Business users, simplifies the process of bringing 360 photos to a global audience. It emphasizes simplicity and user-friendliness, making it easier than ever to connect and share immersive experiences with the world via Google Maps ecosystem.
