You can easily shoot images without capturing the photographer in the shot by installing a function called “Time Shift Shooting” from among the expanded functions known as plug-ins for THETA V and THETA Z1.
1.Install the “Time Shift Shooting” plug-in to THETA and then select the installed “Time Shift Shooting” at the THETA app for computer or smartphone. →See TIPS “Other: Expanded functions using plug-ins” for details.
2.Turn on power to the THETA camera. The lamp above the shutter button lights up blue.
3.Press and hold the Mode button on side of the THETA camera to start the plug-in.

4. The lamp above the shutter button lights up white when the plug-in expanded function turns on.
5.When the shutter button is pressed, the lamp lights up green and shooting begins for each lens using the self-timer function.
*The default self-timer is set to five seconds. You can change the time to two seconds and 10 seconds using the plug-in settings on a smartphone. →See TIPS “Other: Expanded functions using plug-ins” for details.
6. Shooting begins first at the lens on the side opposite to the shutter button. The photographer should move to the “shutter button side” of the camera to ensure they are not captured in the shot taken by the lens that is shooting the image.
7. Subsequently, shooting automatically starts at the lens on the opposite side of the camera a few seconds later as specified by the timer (default is five seconds). The photographer should move to the “opposite side of the shutter button”.
8. It’s done! Shooting ends without the photographer being captured in the shot. Check the image after transferring it to your smartphone.
Note:
・To switch back to normal mode, press and hold the Mode button again to exit the plug-in.
・When connecting to a smartphone using WiFi and transferring images, exit the plug-in using the above method to return to normal mode.
・The self-timer length for when using Time Shift Shooting and detailed shooting settings can be changed from Advanced settings at the plug-in start screen on a smartphone.
